Things that go bumpity bump in the night...part deux

As it turns out there was no ghoul, goblin or ghost ... only a severely overworked nightlight that decided it couldn't light the way anymore and sang it's final lament ... so much for that then ...

Just wanted to add in a werewolf, my second favourite animal next to my own wolf-child...just love them. Freezing here today, not in the mood for much and my fingers are cramping as I type, not conducive to writing  the follow up to War and Peace I don't think...
My bunny slippers are also not much help, don't think a whole warren of bunny slippers would keep this cold out - hate it...

The first production video of the Hobbit is out and it has made me so happy, can't wait to see the movies, it will be nine years since the release of the Return of the King so it's high time for a fix :-)

My digits are about to fall off, so I'd rather go...

Things that go bumpity bump in the night...

Well, not quite bump, but rather woo-woo, like a forlorn owl stuck in a pipe. This interesting noise came from the Ant's room at four in the morning. Brave mother that I am I went to investigate and half hoped that the wolf would come and help, but he was fast asleep on his chair as all good wolves are at night.

I couldn't find the origin of the sound, but it felt like something was in the room, not harmful, but it shouldn't be there really. It was gone at daylight, so now I'm thinking it really is a little owl, or it really is a little ghost that goes to sleep at dawn...hope it's the owl.

If it's back tonight I'm waking the hubby to go see, as much as I love ghouls, goblins and ghosts, I would prefer if they stayed outside or in their crypts and not come visiting the Ant...

Nursery school: the final frontier

And so the time has come for the Ant to spread her wings and fly into the great big world of the nursery school. I am left feeling scared, nauseous, anxious and also a little proud. The only problem is that I have always viewed other people's children as little recreations of Children of the Corn. Should said little Corn Children touch my child I may reduce them to teeny kernels...

But tomorrow is a big day, and I suppose being a parent is filled with these big days.We fear for them, sometimes more than they do, but that's our job. I would still prefer though to go with her and to sit on one of those Lilliputian chairs and keep a watchful eye out for a little three-year-old Casanova.

Tomorrow my dear little Ant will become a Leaping Lamb....and her mother may become a nervous wreck.
